Lloyd Schroeder

Hastings resident, Lloyd H. Schroeder, 93, passed away Friday, January 3, 2014 at Harvard Rest Haven, Harvard, Nebraska.

Services will be Wednesday, January 8, 2014; 10:30 A.M. at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Hastings with Pastor Joel Remmers officiating. Burial with military rites by Hastings Veterans Organizations will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 7, 2014; 1:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. with family present 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family c/o Marilyn Wicks, 1560 S. Baltimore, Hastings, Nebraska 68901.

Lloyd was born March 21, 1920 in Hastings, Nebraska to Fred & Mabel (Hobrock) Schroeder. He graduated from Hastings High School. Lloyd entered the U.S. Army on April 4, 1942 and was honorably discharged on November 9, 1945. On June 27, 1948 he married Inez Jones; she preceded him in death on May 17, 2010. Lloyd was a lifelong Hastings resident and a retired farmer. He was a member of First St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Inez (Jones) Schroeder.
