Lois Johnson

Hastings resident, Lois Adele (Jackson) Johnson, 96, passed away Monday, September 28, 2015, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Thursday, October 1, 2015; 2:00 P.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Rev. Dr. Sam Rathod officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Visitation will be Thursday, October 1, 2015; 9:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to P.E.O. Sisterhood Star Scholarship Fund or First United Methodist Church, Hastings, Nebraska.

Mrs. Johnson was born September 26, 1919 in Plainfield, New Jersey the daughter of Jonathan Jackson and Mabel Blanche (Wilkinson) Jackson. She graduated from Plainfield Senior High School with the class of 1937. Lois married Otis Clifford Johnson Jr.on October 5, 1940 in Westfield, New Jersey. Lois was always focused on her family. She was a dedicated wife, daughter, mother, and homemaker. Lois was a member of First United Methodist Church in Hastings since 1955 and Chapter DA P.E.O. Sisterhood. Lois also volunteered for many years at the Mary Lanning Hospital. She enjoyed reading, traveling, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, two brothers, and her husband.
