Lois Gannon

June 30, 1925 — November 21, 2016

Hastings resident, Lois June Gannon, 91, passed away Monday, November 21, 2016 at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Saturday, November 26, 2016; 10:00 A.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Pastor Dustin H. Bower officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Memorials may be given to Make-A-Wish Foundation. Visitation will be Friday, November 25, 2016; 1:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. with family present 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. and one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

Lois was born June 30, 1925 in Davenport, Nebraska to Leo & Nellie (Caton) Keeler. She graduated from Hastings High School. Lois married Earnest H. Gannon on August 3, 1946 in Doniphan, Nebraska; he preceded her in death on September 30, 1979.

She was a homemaker, and prior to her marriage she worked at the Naval Ammunition Depot, and was a secretary at a Hastings shoe store, where she was an exceptional typist. She was a member of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ. Lois enjoyed crocheting, sewing, cooking, being a wife and mother, and spending time with her family.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earnest H. Gannon; three sisters, Helen, Theresa, and Waunita; three brothers, Lowell, Merle, and Wayne; infant sibling; and one great-granddaughter, Ashley Kay.
