Lorance Doyen

August 12, 1923 — March 11, 2002

Lorance 'Red' Doyen, 78, of 504 So. Kansas, died Wednesday, March 6, 2002 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Services will be Monday, March 11, 2002; 2:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Stacey Nelson officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Lorance 'Red' Doyen was born August 12, 1923 in Bloomington, Nebraska to Carl & Minnie (Schafer) Doyen. He attended school in Bloomington. He served in the United States Army during WWII from February 4, 1943 and was discharged on November 21, 1945. On July 16, 1947, he married Joy Dona Obester in Hastings, Nebraska. He worked at Royal Billiards, Metz Bakery and was currently a stockman for Wal-mart, all in Hastings, Nebraska. He was a life long member of Assembly of God Church, V.F.W and past president of the Eagles.

Lorance 'Red' Doyen was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Joy, a grandchild, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
