Former Hastings resident, Loretta Elizabeth Mousel, 97, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2011 in Newton, Iowa.

Rosary will be Sunday, November 13, 2011; 7:00 P.M. at Butler Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, November 14, 2011; 10:00 A.M. at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, Hastings, Nebraska with Father Joseph M. Walsh officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Sunday, November 13, 2011; 1:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. with family present 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Memorials may be given to Skiff Hospice, Newton, Iowa.

Loretta was born March 18, 1914 in Holstein, Nebraska to Oscar & Mary (Hemberger) Ronnekamp. She graduated from Holstein High School in 1931. Loretta married Victor Mousel on April 20, 1937; he preceded her in death on May 31, 1987. She was a homemaker and a past member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, and Altar Society. She moved to Newton, Iowa in 2004 due to her health.

Loretta was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Victor Mousel; and one sister, Marie Hupf.
