Louis G. Keim, 89, of Perkins Pavilion, Good Samaritan Society, Hastings Village, died Saturday, December 5, 2009 at Perkins Pavilion.
Services will be Wednesday, December 9, 2009; 2:00 P.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings, with Rev Dr. William Nottage-Tacey officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Memorials may be given to the Nelson Volunteer Fire Department. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 8, 2009; 9 A.M. - 9 P.M. and one hour prior to the service both at the funeral home.
Louis G. Keim was born January 22, 1920 to Eli C. & Lucy (Cromwell) Keim in rural Geneva, Nebraska. Louis was in the U.S. Army Air Corp during WWII, and was involved in the first daylight bombing mission over Berlin. He married Maxine (Combs) Rader on July 27, 1962. He and Maxine moved to Hastings from Nelson in 2008. He was a retired farmer and past member of the Nelson VFW and American Legion. His hobbies included gardening, flowers, woodworking and fishing.
Louis G. Keim was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and three brothers.
