Louise Bourg

Hastings resident, Louise Starnes Slauter Bourg, 94, passed away Monday, September 19, 2016 at Golden Living Center - Lakeview, Grand Island, Nebraska.

Services will be Saturday, September 24, 2016; 10:30 A.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Father Joseph M. Walsh officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Memorials may be given to Passion For Paws Animal Rescue, Johnson Lake, Nebraska. Visitation will be Friday, September 23, 2016; 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. with family present, and one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

Louise was born July 2, 1922 to William Alexander & Victoria (Mounce) Starnes in Westboro, Missouri. She attended all 12 years and graduated from Coin Consolidated School in Corn, Iowa. On September 15, 1939 she married Ralph Slauter, to that union was born a son, Donald Wayne on September 6, 1940. She and Ralph divorced on September 15, 1958. She married Richard L. "Dick" Bourg on October 8, 1961.

Louise was employed in the Hastings area as a bookkeeper and office manager until her retirement in 1966.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard L. "Dick" Bourg; sisters, Christina Mathes and Rosina Collins; son, Donald Wayne Slauter; and grandson, Darren Wayne Slauter.
