Hastings resident, Louise Smith, 82, of Village Green, Good Samaritan Village, died Tuesday, August 9, 2005 at her home.

Services will be Saturday, August 13, 2005; 11:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church, Laurinburg, North Carolina with Dr. L.D. Kimrey officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Laurinburg, North Carolina.

Mrs. Smith was born August 17, 1922 in Laurinburg, North Carolina to Thomas R. & Nellie J. (Inman) Smith. She graduated from high school in Laurinburg, North Carolina. On July 18, 1946, she married James Thomas Coburn and he preceded her in death on February 4, 1983. She worked at First United Methodist Church, Dana Corporation and the Medicine Shoppe in Laurinburg, North Carolina. She was a member First Baptist Church, Senior Women Sunday School Class, Secretary of Young at Heart Club, Silver Scots and V.F.W. Auxiliary, Laurinburg, North Carolina. Later, she married Robert G. Smith and he preceded her in death. She moved from Laurinburg to Hastings, Nebraska in November of 2004 to be near her daughter, Dana Odom.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, James Coburn & Robert Smith and three sisters, Annie Currie, Tinky Rushin and Georgia Herman.

Memorial may be given to Hastings Scottish Rite Valley Foundation for Rite Care Children Speech Clinic-Hastings, NE
