Hastings resident, Louise (Buhr) Stromer, 80, of 411 South Baltimore, died Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at Blue Hill Care Center, Blue Hill, Nebraska.
Services will be Saturday, May 5, 2007; 10:00 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Greg Volzke officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Lutheran Churchyard Cemetery, west of Glenvil, Nebraska. Visitation will be Thursday, May 3, 2007; 5pm-9pm. Friday, May 4, 2007; 9am-9pm with family present from 6pm-9pm & Saturday, May 5, 2007; 9am until service time. Memorials may be given to the family.
Mrs. Stromer was born May 17, 1926 in Pauline, Nebraska to Louis & Insina (Bohlen) Buhr. She was baptized at the Hanover Presbyterian Church near Glenvil, Nebraska. She attended school until the 8th grade, then helped with the family farming. She married Louis Stromer on March 3, 1948. She worked at Mod 'O Day and retired from Westland Modular Homes. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, rural Glenvil, Quilt Auxiliary, Glenvil American Legion Auxiliary and volunteered at Grand Island Veterans Home.
Mrs. Stromer was preceded in death by her parents, son, Steven Stromer, grandson, Samuel Stromer, sisters, Gertie Eastergard, Bertha Kort, Darlene Stromer and a brother, Alvin Buhr.
