Lowell Sullivan

Hastings resident, Lowell V. Sullivan, 83, of 3102 Fisherman Lane, died Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Memorial service will be Saturday, April 25, 2009; 1:00 P.M. at the Evangelical Free Church with Pastor Matt Sass officiating. Burial will be Sunday, April 26, 2009; 2:00 P.M. in Moses Hill Cemetery, near Loomis, Nebraska. Memorials may be given to The Gideon's. Book signing will be Friday, April 24, 2009; 9:00 A.M.-9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Mr. Sullivan was born December 26, 1925 in a sod house in Gosper County, near Bertrand, Nebraska to Clyde & Beatrice (Atkinson) Sullivan. He graduated from Loomis High School and married Irma H. Hendricks on October 27, 1946 in Loomis, Nebraska. They moved to Denver, Colorado, where Lowell was a salesman for Sealtest Dairy. In 1967, they moved back to Nebraska where he worked for MoorMan Manufacturing before his retirement. After retiring, Lowell & Irma lived in Cedaredge, Colorado before moving to Hastings, Nebraska in 2002. He was a very active member in the Gideon's organization as well as the Evangelical Free Church.

Mr. Sullivan was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Kathy Bea; sister, Lorraine Sullivan; brother & sister-in-law, LeRoy & Kathryn Sullivan.
