Hastings resident, Lucille Lutkemeier, 99, of College View Assisted Living, 1100 N. 6th Ave., died Thursday, May 11, 2006 at College View.
Services will be Saturday, May 13, 2006; 10:00 A.M. at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. William Nottage-Tacey officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, all in Hastings, Nebraska.
Mrs. Lutkemeier was born March 10, 1907 in Campbell, Nebraska to John Peter & Alice (Reiber) Adler. She attended Campbell Public Schools and graduated from Campbell High School in 1924. On February 28, 1930, she married August Lutkemeier Jr. at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Campbell, Nebraska and he preceded her in death on November 26, 2002. They lived and farmed north of Campbell until 1947 when they moved to Hastings and farmed in the Glenvil area. She was a homemaker and a member of First Presbyterian Church where she served as a Deacon, an Elder, a Sunday School Teacher, President of Presbyterian Women and Chairman of her Circle. She served Presbyterian Women on the State level, holding offices in its Presbyterial and Synodical organizations. She was a member and past President of Hastings Church Women United and served on the State level as Secretary and Vice-President. As a member of the Goldenrod Council of Girl Scouts of America, she received their bronze leadership award. She was also a member of the Harmony Extension Club, Readers Guild and Sixteeners Club.
Mrs. Lutkemeier was preceded in death by her husband, August Lutkemeier, one brother and three sisters.
