Lula Buhr

Hastings resident, Lula M. Buhr, 87, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Perkins Pavilion Good Samaritan Society-Hastings Village, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Monday, April 18, 2016; 10:00 A.M. at First Presbyterian Church, Hastings with Pastor Dale Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Memorials may be given to First Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be Saturday, April 16, 2016; 1:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M. and Sunday, April 17, 2016; 1:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M. with family present 2:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church.

Lula was born December 5, 1928 in Glenvil, Nebraska to Henry R. & Jeannette (Idle) Lindeman. She married Walter "Bud" Buhr on August 19, 1947; he preceded her in death in 2007. They farmed in the Pauline/Roseland area for many years. She was a loving mother, homemaker, and right-hand farm partner to Walter. Lula was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Circle at church, and was a Deacon of the church in 1997. They loved to visit and everyone was always welcome at their home. They also enjoyed to travel and fish.

Lula was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter "Bud" Buhr; two sisters, Fredia Arrington and Evelyn Krueger; and two infant brothers.
