LuluBelle Peterson, 83, of Perkins Pavilion, died Wednesday, April 30, 2003 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Services will be Saturday, May 3, 2003; 10:30 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Dr. Sam Rathod officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

LuluBelle Peterson was born August 21, 1919 in Hastings, Nebraska to Lawrence & LuluBelle (Nelson) Douglas. She attended Hastings High School and on February 25, 1939, married Harlan Robert Peterson. He preceded her in death in 1997. She owned and operated a children's day care and also had worked for Swift & Company for many years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for 22 years. She was also a member of DAR-Daughters of the American Revolution, China Belles, served on the Adams County Historical Society Board of Directors and was a genealogist researcher. She was a poet and a lifelong resident of Hastings.

LuluBelle Peterson was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harlan Robert Peterson and 18 siblings.
