Hastings resident, Lyle W. Baker, 67, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2016 at his home after a long battle with cancer.
Services will be Thursday, March 3, 2016; 2:00 P.M. at Faith Lutheran Church, Hastings with Pastor Paul Dunbar officiating. Burial with military rites by the Hastings Veterans Organizations will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 2, 2016; 1:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. with the family present from 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church. Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Faith Lutheran Church in honor of Lyle.
Lyle was born to Lloyd W. & Eva M. (Flower) Baker on June 9, 1948 in Marysville, Kansas. He grew up in Blue Rapids, Kansas where he attended and graduated high school. Lyle served honorably in Vietnam from 1968 to 1969. Lyle married Pamela Jaynes on May 6, 1968.
He was preceded in death by his parents, nephew, niece, sister-in-law, mother-in-law, and father-in-law.
