Lyle Davis

Rural Doniphan resident, Lyle W. Davis, 61, of 203 Leisure Lake Road, died Sunday, March 16, 2008 at his home.

Services will be Thursday, March 20, 2008; 2:00 P.M. at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. William G. Nottage-Tacey officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, both in Hastings, Nebraska. Memorials may be given to Stuhr Museum and Best Friends Animal Society, c/o Barb Davis, 203 Leisure Lake Road, Doniphan, Nebraska 68832. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 19, 2008; 5:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. with family present at the funeral home.

Mr. Davis was born December 19, 1946 in Gothenburg, Nebraska to Verlyn & Louise (Johnson) Davis. He graduated from Gothenburg High School and from Kearney St. College, now University of Nebraska, Kearney, with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He also received an Associate Degree from Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture, Curtis, Nebraska. On March 20, 1976, he married Barb Stein at First Presbyterian Church, Hastings, Nebraska. He was owner/operator of Davis Surveying Inc. for 26 years. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and Professional Land Surveyors of Nebraska.

Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his parents.
