Lyle Payne

August 24, 1946 — March 16, 2005

Hastings resident, Lyle Robert Payne, 58, of 419 So. Maple Avenue, died Wednesday, March 16, 2005 at his home.

Services will be Monday, March 21, 2005; 10:30 A.M. at North Shore Assembly of God Church with Pastor Tony Anderson officiating. Burial with military rites by Hastings Veterans Organizations will be in Parkview Cemetery, both in Hastings, Nebraska.

Mr. Payne was born August 24, 1946 in Abilene, Kansas to Estal & Bessie 'Betty' (Goltry) Payne. He graduated from Carrolton High School, Carrolton, Missouri and attended Central Community College and Hastings College, both in Hastings, Nebraska. He served in the United States Navy from December 10, 1965 to September 16, 1969. On February 26, 1971, he married Connie Voss. He moved from Arizona to Hastings, Nebraska in 1972. He was an office technician for Modern Methods and also a pastor of Light of the World Ministries in Hastings, Nebraska.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Sister: Helen Mosher - Cloudland, GA

Memorial may be given to North Shore Assembly of God Church

Sat. 3-20-05; 9am-9pm
Sun. 3-21-05; 1pm-4pm
Mon. 3-22-05; 1 hr. prior to service at the church
