Lynn Stewart

Lynn C. Stewart, 81, of 3406 Park Lane Dr., died Monday, March 3, 2003 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital. Services will be Friday, March 7, 2003; 11:00 A.M. at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. James Cooke officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Lynn C. Stewart was born November 15, 1921 in Palco, Kansas to Lewis & Mary (Brumbaugh) Stewart. He graduated from Portis High School, Portis, Kansas in 1939. He attended Fort Hayes Teachers College, Fort Hayes, Kansas and volunteered for the United States Air Corp in 1941, serving in England. He was discharged in 1943 and returned to Fort Hayes Teachers College and graduated in 1946. He began working for Kansas Nebraska Gas Company in Phillipsburg, Kansas in 1946. In 1947, he married Doris Blaylock and in 1953, he was transferred to Hastings, Nebraska. He retired in 1969. He then was owner/operator of Stewart Oil & Gas Leasing Company until his death. He was a member of the American Legion and V.F.W.
Lynn C. Stewart was preceded in death by his parents, son Ronald in 1999, 2 brothers (1 a young child in 1918) and 2 sisters .

Great Grandchildren: 2
Sister: Hope Denton - Stockton, KS
