M. Anderson

Hastings resident, M. Virginia Anderson, 92, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at Perkins Pavilion Good Samaritan Society-Hastings Village, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Friday, May 6, 2011; 2:00 P.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Rev. Alan Davis officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, May 5, 2011; 1:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. and Friday, May 6, 2011; 9:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Good Samaritan Village.

Mrs. Anderson was born August 18, 1918 to Claude B. & Marion (Wood) Powers of Hastings. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1936 and later attended Business College and took night classes in banking at Hastings College and Kearney State College. She was employed at City National Bank for over 37 years and after retiring worked at Saint Mark's Pro-Cathedral. In 1961, she married Paul E. Anderson and in 1990 he preceded her in death. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church for over 75 years.

Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul E. Anderson; and one sister.
