Hastings resident, Mae Wallin, 76, died Friday, September 7, 2012 at Mary Lanning Healthcare.
Services will be Tuesday, September 11, 2012; 11:00 A.M. at Lakeside Community Church of the Nazarene, Hastings with Pastor John Whitsett officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Memorials may be given to the Mae Wallin Memorial Fund. Visitation will be Monday, September 10, 2012 until 9 P.M. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
Mae Wallin was born on March 22, 1936 to Martin & Lillian (Beller) Ostendorf in Gothenburg, Nebraska. She moved to Hastings, Nebraska in 1958. On February 22, 1959 Mae married Milan "Mike" Wallin of Hastings. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and baking. Other favorite activities were fishing, playing cards, and being with friends. Mae was a member of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Charles Timmerman, two sisters and one brother.
