Marcel McCoy

Hastings resident, Marcel Glenn McCoy, 76, of 402 South Maple, died Friday, February 8, 2008 at his home.

Services will be Tuesday, February 12, 2008; 2:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. David L. Speicher officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Sunday, February 10, 2008; 1:00 P.M. -9:00 P.M., Monday, February 11, 2008; 9:00 A.M. - 9:00 P.M. with family present 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. and Tuesday, February 12, 2008 9:00 A.M. until service time. Memorials may be given to Nebraska Visually Impaired Peer Support Group.

Mr. McCoy was born March 2, 1931 on a farm near Hastings to Glen & Mathilda (Jasper) McCoy. On May 12, 1951, he married Aleen Franklin in Hastings. He was employed at Metz Baking Company, now Sara Lee Bakery, for 43 years. He was active in PTA for Hastings Public School, and Nebraska Visually Impaired Peer Support Group. He spent his entire life in the Hastings area and was an avid fisherman.

Mr. McCoy was preceded in death by his parents.
