Marcella Shannon

March 1, 1918 — August 27, 2008

Marcella Maxine Shannon, 90, of Perkins Pavilion, died Saturday, August 23, 2008 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Services will be Wednesday, August 27, 2008; 10:00 A.M. at Peace Chapel, Perkins Pavilion with Pastor Art Schakat officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Memorials may be given to Mary Lanning Hospice or Perkins Pavilion. Visitation will be one hour prior to be service at Peace Chapel.

Marcella was born March 1, 1918 in Red Cloud, Nebraska to Lewis & Viola (Rasser) Bergfield. She married Gene Shannon on February 14, 1945 in Marco, California. After the war they farmed in Red Cloud and later moved to Hastings where they raised two boys.

Marcella was preceded in death by her parents, Gene Shannon husband, an infant son and sister Gladys Haller.
