Former area resident, Marcella Trausch, 84, of Good Samaritan Center, Wood River, Nebraska, died Monday, April 24, 2006 at Good Samaritan Center.
Rosary will be Wednesday, April 26, 2006; 7:00 P.M. at Assumption Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, April 27, 2006; 10:00 A.M. at Assumption Catholic Church with Father Thomas Au officiating. Burial will be in Assumption Catholic Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Trausch was born January 8, 1922 in Greeley, Nebraska to Nicholas & Margaret
(Dillon) Donnelly. She received her teaching certificate at Kentucky Teachers College and taught school at Roseland Public Schools, Roseland, Nebraska for 2 years. On June 6, 1944, she married William M. Trausch. She worked as a cook at Adams County Nursing Home, Hastings, Nebraska and Ayr Public Schools, Ayr, Nebraska. She resided on the farm north of Roseland until 2003 when she moved to Edgewood Vista Assisted Living in Hastings and then to Good Samaritan Center, Wood River, Nebraska in December of 2005. She was a member of Assumption Catholic Church and Altar Society. She enjoyed her family, making bread, reading and cooking.
Mrs. Trausch was preceded in death by a great grandchild.
