Marcy L'Heureux Schmitz, 76, of 916 N. Kansas, died Monday, August 27, 2001 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Rosary will be Thursday, August 30, 2001; 7:30 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, August 31, 2001; 10:30 A.M. at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church with Father Andrew Menke officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Marcy L'Heureux Schmitz was born January 5, 1925 in Campbell, Nebraska to Emile & Anna (Brouillette) L'Heureux. She moved with her family from Hildreth, Nebraska to Hastings, Nebraska in 1939. She graduated from St. Cecilia's Catholic High School in 1943. On February 8, 1947, she married Ray Schmitz and he preceded her in death on February 6, 1989. She was co-owner and worked at Ray's Restaurant and Lounge. She was a member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church and Altar Society.

Marcy L'Heureux Schmitz was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ray and a brother, LaVern L'Heureux.
