Margaret Vaughn

Former Hastings resident, Margaret L. Vaughn, 78, of Omaha, Nebraska, died Thursday, April 10, 2008 at her home.

Services will be Monday, April 14, 2008; 10:30 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Alan Davis officiating. Burial will be in Cedarview Cemetery, Doniphan, Nebraska. Memorials may be given to the Margaret L. Vaughn Memorial Fund. Visitation will be Sunday, April 13, 2008; 1Pm-9PM with family present from 5PM-8PM & Monday, April 14, 2008; 9AM until service time.

Mrs. Vaughn was born April 20, 1929 in Plattsmouth, Nebraska to Melvin & Phoebe (Cole) Farabee. She grew up in Doniphan, Nebraska and graduated from Doniphan High School. She married Virgil Vaughn on March 27, 1947 in the United Methodist Church, Doniphan, Nebraska. Margaret was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hastings. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Doniphan. Margaret enjoyed embroidering, reading and her kids & grandkids. She was a Hastings resident from 1968 until 1998, when they moved to Omaha.

Mrs. Vaughn was preceded in death by parents and husband.
