Former Lawrence resident, Margie M. Pohlmeier, 87, of Perkins Pavilion, died Friday, October 22, 2004 at Perkins Pavilion.
Rosary will be Tuesday, October 26, 2004; 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lawrence, Nebraska. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 A.M. with Father Dennis Hunt officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Lawrence, Nebraska.
Ms. Pohlmeier was born April 2, 1917 in Lawrence, Nebraska to Joseph & Mary (Gilsdorf) Pohlmeier. She attended grade school at Sacred Heart in Lawrence. She graduate from Lawrence High School in Lawrence in 1935 and made a career of teaching, beginning in one-room schools. She received her degree from Kearney State College and taught at schools in Lawrence, Palisade, Fairfield and Deweese all in Nebraska. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, its Altar Society, Keenagers, the Quilters and Midland Area Agency on Aging. She moved from Lawrence to Hastings in 1997. She previously lived at Village Green, was a member of St. Cecilia's Parish and the Saints Quilting Group. Her special interest was traveling.
Ms. Pohlmeier was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers and 1 sister.
