Hastings resident, Marian Marie Douglas, 85, of Perkins Pavilion, died Monday, February 20, 2006 at Perkins Pavilion.
Services will be Wednesday, March 1, 2006; 10:30 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Jim Miller officiating. Burial will be Wednesday, March 1, 2006; 2:00 P.M. at Highland Park Cemetery, Ravenna, Nebraska.
Mrs. Douglas was born May 10, 1920 in Ravenna, Nebraska to Frank & Edna (Rease) Struble. She graduated from high school and married Ray W. Douglas on March 26, 1943 in Grand Island, Nebraska. He preceded her in death on January 16, 2006. She worked for the Ravenna Egg Plant in Ravenna before moving to Hastings, Nebraska in 1969. She was a cook for the Adams County Senior Services for 14 years and was the custodian at Grace United Methodist Church. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Hastings and the American Legion Auxiliary in Ravenna.
Mrs. Douglas was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray W. Douglas; two daughters, Verda Douglas and Raelene Wiese; six sisters; Bernice Bonisek, Doris Kastal, Merna Novotny, Velma Vacek, Faye Darnell, Eva Struble (infant) and two brothers, Ray & Leo Struble.
