Marie Davis

Former Spring Ranch resident, Marie A. Davis, 96, died Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Mary Lanning Memorial HealthCare, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Monday, March 12, 2012; 2:00 P.M. at Peace Lutheran Church, Hastings, Nebraska with Pastor Marcus J. Mackay officiating. Burial will be in Glenvil Cemetery, Glenvil, Nebraska. Visitation will be Saturday, March 10, 2012; 5 P.M. - 9 P.M. and Sunday, March 11, 2012; 1 P.M. - 9 P.M. Viewing will also be one hour prior to the service Monday at the church. Memorials may be given to Nebraska Children's Home or Glenvil Cemetery. Livingston-Butler-Volland Funeral Home & Cremation Center is in charge of arrangements.

Marie was born August 9, 1915 in Adams County, Nebraska to Henry H. and Katie (Onken) Ockinga. Marie married Henry H. Davis on May 18, 1932 in Glenvil, Nebraska and he preceded her in death on November 30, 1993. She was a member of the Spring Ranch Homemakers Club, WELCA Circle 2 and the Senior Citizens Group at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Glenvil. Marie was also a member of China Bells, Hastings, Nebraska. She enjoyed gardening and flowers, playing cards and dominoes.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, son, Richard Davis, four brothers and two sisters.
