Marie Jorgensen

Holstein resident, Marie Rosario Jorgensen, 88, passed away Monday, December 16, 2013 at Blue Hill Care Center, Blue Hill, Nebraska.

Marie was born November 15, 1925 in Naples, Italy to Guiseppe & Concetta (Torre) Cesarani. She graduated from high school and attended college. Marie moved to the United States in 1947 and married Charles O. Gentert as a WWII bride, to this union six children were born; he preceded her in death in 1966. She then married Alden Jorgensen in 1969. Marie was a homemaker and a professional seamstress. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Altar Society and grandmothers bowling league.

Marie was preceded in death by her late husband, Charles O. Gentert; son, Eugene Charles Gentert; granddaughter, Jennifer Lynn Konen; and grandson, Charles Eugene Gentert.

Rosary will be Friday, December 20, 2013; 7:00 P.M. and Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, December 21, 2013; 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Roseland, Nebraska with Father Thomas Brouillette officiating. Burial will be at Assumption Cemetery, Assumption, Nebraska. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. Visitation will be Thursday, December 19, 2013; 1:00 P.M - 8:00 P.M., Friday, December 20, 2013 and 9:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M. at Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home, and one hour prior to Rosary and Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Roseland.
