Marie Stelzer

Hastings resident, Marie A. Stelzer, 87, of Perkins Pavilion, died Saturday, March 18, 2006 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Services will be Friday, March 24, 2006; 10:00 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Pastor Dale Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Concordia Cemetery, rural Juniata, Nebraska.

Mrs. Stelzer was born April 8, 1918 on a farm in Adams County, near Prosser, Nebraska to Carl & Emma (Katzberg) Schroeder. She attended rural school near Juniata, Nebraska and married Paul Stelzer on April 6, 1947. She was a dental assistant for Dr. J.R. Chappell, a seamstress at Mode O'Day, she was an insurance agent for Pyramid Insurance and also worked at Allens, all in Hastings, Nebraska. She was a life time area resident and a former member of Keystone Baptist Church and attended the Evangelical Free Church. She was a charter member of Phi Sigma Alpha (Mu. Chapter) and Citizens of Decency.

Mrs. Stelzer was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.

Memorial may be given to KROA Radio St. or Care Actor Inc.
