Marilyn Heye

Hastings resident and loving sister, wife and mother, Marilyn Casler - Harse - Heye, 88, passed away Monday, September 9, 2013 at Perkins Pavilion Good Samaritan Society-Hastings Village, Hastings, Nebraska.

Burial Office will be Monday, September 16, 2013; 1:30 P.M. at St. Mark's Episcopal Pro-Cathedral, Hastings, Nebraska with The Very Rev. Dean Catherine F. Scott officiating. Private family burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. There will be no viewing or visitation. Memorials may be given to St. Mark's Episcopal Pro-Cathedral, Hastings Nebraska or the Hastings Nebraska Public Library Foundation.

Marilyn was born September 24, 1924 the third of five daughters to Donald F. & Olga (Bradshaw) Casler. Medical difficulties and the loss of her mother at a very early age did not deter Marilyn from active participation in successful academic and social pursuits. She was managing co-editor of her high school newspaper, an officer in the Hastings chapter of Job's Daughters, voted Honored Queen of DeMolay and led a full and active social life in Hastings as a member of P.E.O. Chapter G, Infant Welfare Society, St. Mark's Pro-Cathedral Altar Guild and numerous other social and benevolent groups.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Betty Jean Casler Morrison and Donna Casler Tullio; and husbands, Robert B. Harse and Arnold R. Heye.

Grandsons & their families: David, Angela & Emerson Harse - Leawood, KS
