Trumbull area resident, Marion Virginia Arnold, 82, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012 at her home.
Celebration memorial service will be Friday, January 13, 2012; 1:30 P.M. at Trumbull Christian Church, Trumbull with Pastor Zach Brueningsen officiating. Private family burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Trumbull, Nebraska. Visitation will be Thursday, January 12, 2012; 9:00 A.M. - 9:00 P.M. with family present from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Marion's name to the following charities: Alpha Christian Children's Home, P.O. Box 727, Perry, Kansas 66073-0727 or Christian Student Fellowship, P.O. Box 2424, Kearney, Nebraska 68848-2424.
Marion was born April 15, 1929 in Clearwater, Nebraska to Channing & Hazel (Taylor) Boyle. Marion moved to Trumbull with her family in 1942, where she graduated in 1946. She married Ray C. Arnold, Jr. on January 18, 1948 in Grand Island, Nebraska. They lived their entire married life on a farm southeast of Trumbull. Through their marriage they raised two daughters: Kristene and Andrea. Marion was a baptized member of Trumbull Christian Church where she played the piano and taught Sunday school classes. She served as secretary/treasurer of the Nebraska Charolais Association for several years and secretary/treasurer for the Agricultural Bowling League for 20 years. Marion was a leader for the Cookie Cutter 4-H club for over 10 years. Her flower gardens were her pride and joy. She enjoyed reading and traveling.
Marion was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Keith Boyle.
