Marjorie Bokern

Hastings resident, Marjorie K. Bokern, 86, of 1336 West 14th Street, died Monday, August 18, 2008 at Perkins Pavilion.

Services will be Thursday, August 21, 2008; 2:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Dr. William Nottage-Tacey officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Memorials may be given to the family. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 19, 2008; 5:00 P.M. - 9:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 20, 2008; 9:00 A.M.-9:00 P.M. with family present 7:00 P.M - 9:00 P.M. & Thursday, August 21, 2008; 9:00 A.M. until service time.

Mrs. Bokern was born October 13, 1921 in Campbell, Nebraska to John & Sophia (Johnson) Heinrich. She attended Bee Hive School in Campbell and married Wayne C. Williams on April 6, 1941. He preceded her in death on August 19, 1974. On August 31, 1984, she married Eli Bokern and he preceded her in death on April 13, 1994. She was a homemaker and worked at the S & H Green Stamps Store from 1974 until 1976 and then at J. M. McDonald Company until 1982. She was a 67 year member of First Presbyterian Church, V.F. W. Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary and the Eagles Auxiliary.

Mrs. Bokern was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wayne Williams & Eli Bokern; mother-in-law, Ina Mae Williams and a sister, Madeline Mahloch.
