Marjorie Brunken

Hastings resident, Marjorie Eileen Brunken,71, of 1235 McDonald Avenue, died Friday, October 12, 2007 at St. Francis Medical Center, Grand Island, Nebraska.

Graveside services and burial will be Wednesday, October 17, 2007; 3:30 P.M. in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska with Pastor Earl Higgins officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 16, 2007; 9A.M. - 9 P.M. & Wednesday, October 17, 2007; 1:00 P.M.-3:00 P.M. and will proceed to the cemetery from the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Ms. Brunken was born September 9, 1936 near Ayr, Nebraska to John & Tena (Schmidt) Brunken. She started school at District 78. Her family moved to Fairfield, then to a farm south of Hastings. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1953. She worked at Hested's and retired from Mary Lanning Hospital.

Ms. Brunken was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Eugene.
