Marjorie Y. Nelson, 86, of Haven Home, Kenesaw, Nebraska, died Monday, September 3, 2001 at Haven Home.

Services will be Thursday, September 6, 2001; 10:00 at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Tom Murray officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Marjorie Y. Nelson was born July 31, 1915 in Denman, Nebraska. She attended schools in Denman and Kenesaw, Nebraska where she graduated in 1933. She attended Mary Lanning School of Nursing for 1 year. On February 2, 1939, she married Milton F. Nelson and he preceded her in death in 1987. She worked as bookkeeper at Cornhusker Press. They moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota after selling Cornhusker Press in 1968 and returned to Hastings, Nebraska in 1979. After Milton passed away, she moved to Bosie, Idaho to live with her daughter, Dianne Nelson. They both returned to Hastings, Nebraska in 1998. She was a member of Eastern Star and the Daughters of the Nile.

Marjorie Y. Nelson was preceded in death by her parents, husband Milton F. Nelson and 5 sisters.
