Marlys Hatfield

Hastings resident, Marlys E. Hatfield, 74, died Saturday, June 22, 2013 at Perkins Pavilion Good Samaritan Society - Hastings Village, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Wednesday, June 26, 2013; 10:00 A.M. at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Hastings, with Pastor Steven Peeler officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 25, 2013; 9:00 A.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Memorials may be given to the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd.

Marlys E. Hatfield was born January 8, 1939 in Hastings, Nebraska to Henry & Ardis (Powers) Theesen. She grew up in Hastings and graduated from Hastings High School. On June 7, 1958 she married Robert Hatfield and he preceded her in death on March 11, 2001. Marlys was a member of Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd and was a Master Gardner. She was a past member of the Hastings China Belles and Hastings Quilt Guild.

Marlys E. Hatfield was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert Hatfield and sister, Mary Lou Liebich.
