Marvel Ryan

Marvel M. Ryan, 87, of 1383 W. 'E' Street #1, died Thursday, April 26, 2001 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Rosary will be Monday, April 30, 2001; 10:00 A.M. at St. Michael's Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will follow immediately with Father Michael Houlihan officiating. Burial will be at 1:30 P.M. in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Red Cloud, Nebraska.

Marvel M. Ryan was born January 3, 1914 in Webster County, Nebraska to James Bernard & Sarah Mary (Zalman) Shannon. She grew up in Kansas on the family farm 13 miles south of Red Cloud, Nebraska. On October 16, 1932, she married Edward Frances Ryan and he preceded her in death on April 8, 1984. They moved from Red Cloud to Hastings, Nebraska in 1955. She worked for Deluxe Cleaners for 35 years. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church.

Marvel M. Ryan was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edward, 2 brothers, Donald W. & Gene 'Oral' Shannon.
