Marvin Bruna

Hastings resident, Marvin Merlin Bruna, 81, of 214 East 7th Street, died Sunday, July 22, 2007 at his home.

Services will be Wednesday, July 25, 2007; 10:00 A.M. at North Shore Assembly of God Church with Pastor Tony Anderson & Pastor Millard Huett officiating. Burial will be Wednesday, July 25, 2007; 2:00 P.M in Alma Cemetery, Alma, Nebraska. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 24, 2007; Noon-9 P.M. with family present 7 P.M.- 9 P.M. at the funeral home & Wednesday, July 25, 2007; 1 hr. prior to service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to North Shore Assembly of God Church or Gideons.

Mr. Bruna was born April 24, 1926 in Alma, Nebraska to Frank & Helen (Metzger) Bruna. He graduated from Alma High School and served in the United States Army during WWII from July 21, 1944 until August 19, 1946. On January 1, 1950, he married Doris Maxine Christoffersen at Stockton, Kansas. He moved from Alma to Hastings in 1960. He worked for Metz Bakery from 1948 until 1988, retiring as sales manager. He was a member of North Shore Assembly of God and the Gideons.

Mr. Bruna was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Beatrice Dellamandola & a brother, Kenneth Bruna.
