Mary Fricke

Hastings resident, Mary K. Fricke, 85, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Perkins Pavilion Good Samaritan Society-Hastings Village, Hastings, Nebraska.

Rosary will be Wednesday, September 28, 2016; 6:00 P.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings. Celebration of Life will be Thursday, September 29, 2016; 10:00 A.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Father Joseph M. Walsh officiating. Private family burial will be in Blue Valley Cemetery, Ayr. Memorials may be given to the family. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 28, 2016; 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Mary was born October 21, 1930 in Hastings, Nebraska to Ralph & Helen (Mullen) Hinrichs. She graduated from Hastings High School. Mary married John K. Fricke; he preceded her in death.

She was employed as a surveyor and statistician by the Department of Agriculture, and also owned Today & Yesterday Antique Shop. Mary operated Mary K. Tax Services for many years out of her home in Inland, Nebraska. She was a member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church and Glenvil American Legion. Mary helped many years at the Old Trusty Days.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John K. Fricke; brothers, Lyle T., William E. and Richard D.; and sister, JoAnn M. Hinrichs.
