Mary Ellen (Robinson) Kennedy, 81

Mary Kennedy went to her eternal home in heaven on June 30, 2020 surrounded by the love and support of her family. Mary was born on April 3, 1939 to Sylvester and Nellie Robinson in Zion, Illinois.

Mary married the love of her life Roy Kennedy Jr. on March 3, 1956 and they were blessed with 6 children. Everyone should strive for a love like theirs. Mary spent her last years in Lincoln, NE living with their daughter Sue.

Mary enjoyed spending time with family. She supported her children and grandchildren in all their activities and loved to cheer them on in everything they were involved in.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband Roy, their son Gregory, and many other loved ones. She is survived by her children Steve (and Shelly) Kennedy of Mesa, AZ, Sue Kennedy of Lincoln, Mark (and Tami) Kennedy of Hastings, Shelly (and Eugene) McLaughlin of Sutton, and Amy (and Terry) Haines of Hastings.

Graveside service will be held at Parkview Cemetery in Hastings, NE on Saturday, July 11 at 11 am with a celebration of life to follow at MPH, 427 S Showboat Blvd, from 12-2. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date.
