Mary Wolfe

February 27, 1927 — November 18, 2005

Hastings resident, Mary Rose Wolfe, 78, of Goldbeck Towers #221, Good Samaritan Village, died Friday, November 18, 2005 at Perkins Pavilion.

Services will be Monday, November 21, 2005; 10:30 A.M. at All Saints Chapel, Good Samaritan Village with Rev. Earl Higgins & Rev. Neil Vik officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Mrs. Wolfe was born February 27, 1927 in Colony, Kansas to Thomas John & Emma (Salm) McCallion. She attended school and graduated Sum Cum Laude from Cimarron High School, Cimarron, Kansas in 1944. She married James E. Parsons on January 22, 1947 in Dodge City, Kansas and he preceded her in death in March of 1955. She was a billing clerk with Western Light & Telephone in Dodge City. She moved to Great Bend, Kansas and was employed with Kansas Power & Light Company billing department and for Sears Roebuck as assistant credit manager. On May 16, 1964, she married Marvin E. 'Marv' Wolfe in Jones Chapel, First Methodist Church, Hastings, Nebraska, where she was a member. In Hastings, she was employed for 15 years with J.M. McDonald Executive offices and as secretary to Chairman of the Board at City National Bank until her retirement in 1981. Employment moved them to Seattle, Washington in 1981-1983 and Omaha, Nebraska from 1984-1986. They semi-retired in August of 1990, moving to Good Samaritan Village. She volunteered in various activities at the Senior Center, including Bargain Center clerk, Kiwanis hostess, choir, band and activities with Goldbeck Towers. She was a former member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Wolfe was preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband, James E. Parsons and a brother, Raymond McCallion.

Brother & Sister-in-law: Don & Frieda McCallion - Elkhart, KS
Sister: Christine McCart - Hutchinson, KS
3 Granddaughters
3 Great Grandchildren

Memorial may be given to Good Samaritan Village in care of Senior Center
Goldbeck Towers in care of Residents' Fund or Vesper services
First United Methodist Church
Grace United Methodist Church or Donor's Choice

VISITATION: Sat. 11-19-05; 4pm-9pm
Sun. 11-20-05; 1pm-9pm
Mon. 11-21-05; 1 hr. prior to service at All Saints Chapel
