Former Hastings resident MaryAnn M. Trupp, 86, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at GracePoint Assisted Living and Memory Care, Lincoln, NE.
Services are 10 a.m. Monday, April 30, at Butler Volland Chapel in Hastings with Pastor Timothy Kemnitz officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Hastings. Memorials may be given to Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hastings. Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
MaryAnn was born September 12, 1931, to Carl and Margaret (Kort) Oltman in Blue Hill, NE. She was the second of five children. She graduated from Blue Hill High School in 1948.
On March 25, 1951, she married Roy Trupp in Hastings. They were married for 65 years. They had three children. MaryAnn was the manager of S&H Green Stamp Store for over 15 years. She spent the rest of her life as a homemaker. She loved cooking and baking for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved gardening, knitting, crocheting, and quilting. She was a member of Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she was the organist for 50 years.
MaryAnn was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; parents; and two brothers, Doran “Bud” and Willard “Bill”.
