Matthew Hull

Hastings resident, Matthew D. Hull, 19, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2016 as a result of an automobile accident.

Services will be Thursday, August 11, 2016; 2:00 P.M. at Zion Lutheran Church, Hastings with Pastor Paul Warneke officiating. Just as Matthew would have wanted, please dress casually and comfortably for the service. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 10, 2016; 9:00 A.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church.

Matthew was born October 15, 1996 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Jerry & Renae (Ruxton) Hull. He graduated from Hastings High School in 2015 and attended Central Community College for one year.

Matthew worked as a ranch hand for A bar C Ranch in Hyannis, Nebraska. He was a past member of Skills U.S.A. Matthew was an outdoorsman, who enjoyed working with his hands, tractor pulling, and his blue-heeler, Doc. His friends remember him as the life of the party and as a man with a golden heart. Family and friends of Matthew will remember his easy humor, his loyalty, and his bright smile. He will be greatly missed.

Matthew was preceded in death by his grandfather, Dale Ruxton; aunt, JoDee Juilfs; and uncle, Ron Weber.
