Maury Lorence

Doniphan resident, Maury Anton Lorence, 22, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2014 in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Services will be Thursday, October 16, 2014; 10:00 A.M. at Trumbull Community Center, Trumbull, Nebraska. Maury's cousins, Pastor Kasey Loschen & Robert Ziegler, will be officiating. Burial will be in Riverton Cemetery, Riverton, Nebraska at 2:30 P.M. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 15, 2014; 4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. with family present from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the Trumbull Community Center, Trumbull, Nebraska. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Maury Anton Lorence Memorial Fund.

Maury was born April 2, 1992 to Charles E. & Sally J. (Ziegler) Lorence in Hastings, Nebraska. He was baptized, confirmed and a member of Trumbull United Methodist Church. He graduated from Doniphan - Trumbull High School in 2010, where he was a 4 year 3-sport athlete and a National Honor Society Member. Maury was currently attending Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, with a major in Elementary Education. He was currently on the football team with his brother, Max. He was a two year recipient of the Pflieger - Olson Scholar Athlete Award and two year letter winner. He worked for the Lincoln Parks and Recreation Children's Programs. He enjoyed hunting, going to concerts, Royals Baseball, New York Jets Football, and was an avid Husker Football and Basketball fan. Above all, Maury enjoyed being with his family. He tried to honor God and his family with his tattoos and was always planning his next one.

Maury was preceded in death by his father, Charles E. Lorence and grandfather, Robert L. Lorence.
