Melvin Plum

Melvin L. Plum, 85, of Hastings, Nebraska, died Thursday, February 7, 2002 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Monday, February 11, 2002; 2:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church, Hastings, Nebraska with Pastor Mark Farris and Dick Bauer officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Melvin L. Plum was born December 27, 1916 in Hastings, Nebraska to Clinton E. & Katie
Barbara (Leaman) Plum. He graduated from Hastings High School in 1935 and from the University of Nebraska College of Engineering in 1943. On February 21, 1943, he married Lenora E. Genschmer. They moved to Cleveland, Ohio where he worked for NACA for seven years. They moved back to Hastings, Nebraska in 1950 and lived and farmed northwest of Hastings, retiring when he was 75. He was a life long member of First Baptist Church, Hastings, Nebraska.

Melvin L. Plum was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother and 2 sisters.

Memorial may be given to First Baptist Church
