Merle H. McLain, 83, of Perkins Pavilion, died Friday, May 11, 2001 at Perkins Pavilion.

Services will be Monday, May 14, 2001; 10:00 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Jeff Hale officiating. Burial will be in Inland Cemetery, Inland, Nebraska.

Merle H. McLain was born December 6, 1917 in Clay County, Nebraska to Harve & Linnie (McGuire) Van Arsdale. She graduated from Inland High School and attended Hastings Beauty Academy. She worked for Hefnider Beauty Shop before moving to California. She did office work and then was an underwriter for Continental Insurance for 25 years. She married Arvil McLain in 1964 and he preceded her in death in 1982. She moved to Hastings, Nebraska in 1998.

Merle H. McLain was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Arvil.

Memorial maybe given to Inland Methodist Church
