Michael Mahoney

Rosary will be Tuesday, April 29, 2008; 7:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, April 30, 2008; 10:30 A.M. at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church with Father Troy J. Schweiger officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Monday, April 28, 2008; 6PM-9PM. and Tuesday, 29, 2008; 9A.M.-9P.M. at the funeral home and Wednesday, April 30, 2008; 1 hr. prior to service at the church. Memorials may be give to the Michael P. Mahoney Memorial Fund or to the family.

Mr. Mahoney was born June 9, 1956 in Hastings, Nebraska to Thomas M. & Margaret R. (Porter) Mahoney. He graduated from Hastings High School in 1974 and married Theresa Mohling on June 4, 1976 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Glenvil, Nebraska. He retired from the Union Pacific Railroad, working on the maintenance of way. His hobbies and activities included hunting, fishing, bowling, coaching baseball in the Hastings Legion baseball program and a collector of many items. He was a very active life member of Little Blue River Pheasants Forever.

Mr. Mahoney was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Kristy Mahoney.
