Michael Swayze

Hastings resident Michael Allen Swayze, 54, passed away Friday, June 22, 2018, at Mary Lanning Heathcare, Hastings.

Graveside service is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 26, at Juniata Cemetery, Juniata, Nebraska with Chaplain John Mueller officiating. A luncheon will follow at Butler Volland Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. There will be no viewing or visitation.

Michael was born February 29, 1964 to Ellsworth & Dorothy (Howat) Swayze in Hastings, Nebraska. Michael graduated from Hastings High School. He was self-employed and worked in engineering and maintenance.

Michael was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed spending time outdoors. He mostly enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Jimmy; and nephew, Jeff Craft.
