Milda Crabtree

September 8, 1919 — July 19, 2001

Milda 'Millie' H. Crabtree, 81, formerly of 620 E. 12th and recently living at Blue Hill Care Center, Blue Hill, Nebraska, died Thursday, July 19, 2001 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Services will be Monday, July 23, 2001; 11:00 A.M. at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastor Kathleen Kasper officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Milda 'Millie' Crabtree was born September 8, 1919 in Howard County, Nebraska to Fritz & Martha (Tuenge) Meinke. She attended school in Howard County, Nebraska. She worked at Dutton Lainson during WWII and on October 20, 1946, she married Kenneth Crabtree at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hastings, Nebraska. She was employed as a salesclerk at Phillips Dress Shop for over 20 years. She was a member of First St. Paul's Lutheran Church, serving as usher and communion assistant, Women of Evangelical Lutheran Church Association, Eagles Auxiliary, BPO Does and a past member of Elks Country Club.

Milda 'Millie' Crabtree was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, Carl, Fred & Walter Meinke, and 2 sisters, Gertrude Schroeder & Lydia Gulzow.

Memorial maybe given to First St. Paul's Lutheran Church Building Fund

Butler-Volland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
