Mildred Fredricks

Hastings resident, Mildred E. Fredricks, 89, of Goldbeck Towers, Good Samaritan Village, died Thursday, March 1, 2007 at Perkins Pavilion.

Services will be Monday, March 5, 2007; 11:00 A.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Glenvil, Nebraska with Pastor Jeff Glawe officiating. Burial will be in Glenvil Cemetery, Glenvil, Nebraska. Memorials to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Goldbeck Towers. Visitation will be Saturday, March 3, 2007; 1pm-9pm, Sunday, March 4, 2007; 1pm-9pm with family present from 6pm-8pm at the funeral home & Monday, March 5, 2007; 1 hr. prior to service at the church.

Mrs. Fredricks was born October 4, 1917 in Adams County to John P. & Barbara (Schluening) Yost. She graduated from Hastings High School and attended Hastings College. She taught in rural country schools for 3 years. On May 22, 1940, she married Virgil Fredricks in Glenvil, Nebraska. She was a homemaker and a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher and a member of WELCA. She also belonged to the Glenvil Double Dozen Extension Club.

Mrs. Fredricks was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, one sister, one grandchild and one great grandchild.
