Hastings resident, Mildred Henrietta Shuck, 99, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Mary Lanning Memorial HealthCare, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Monday, March 21, 2011; 10:30 A.M. at First Presbyterian Church, Hastings with Rev. Dr. William Nottage-Tacey officiating. Burial will be at 2:00P.M.; in Archer Evangelical Community Cemetery, Archer, Nebraska. Visitation will be Saturday, March 19, 2011; 1:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. with family present from 4:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and 1 hour prior to service at the church. Memorials may be given to the First Presbyterian Church.

Mildred was born September 1, 1911 in Ithaca, Nebraska to Herman & Minnie (Zamzow) Hanke. She graduated from Mead High School. She married Edward E. Timm in 1934 and they lived on a farm near Ithaca, Nebraska. Mildred and Edward moved to Palmer, Nebraska in 1946. He preceded her in death in 1962. Mildred then moved to Hastings in 1963 where she was a homemaker and also worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Hutchins. In 1974, she married Stanley Shuck; he preceded her in death on March 7, 1995. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Hastings where she was very active in the church with bible study, women's group, and helped with various church and funeral dinners.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Edward E. Timm and Stanley Shuck; siblings, Albert Hanke, Mae Smith, Mabel Scheuneman, Rev. Silas Hanke, and Clarence Hanke.

Grandchildren: Edward Jamieson - Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ
